Lagos State Government has called off the practical assessment examination, ahead of the conduct of the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) for JSS 3 students scheduled to hold from Tuesday, October 6th to Monday October 12th.

The Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Supo Gbadegesin revealed that the assessment was earlier postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, while the eventual cancellation is due to the brevity of time available to carry out the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination.

He added that all examination papers would be administered in objective format for the 2020 BECE which will enable the Board to adapt to the rule of not keeping students in the examination hall for a long period of time.
